On March 23, Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House suspended lodging services. This difficult decision was in response to COVID-19 and a necessary step to ensure the safety and security of our associates, patients, residents and greater community. We are excited to resume services on Monday, July 6 with new operating guidelines that will help ensure the safety of all who enter our home. Visitors and patients are returning to Bon Secours hospitals for elective procedures and visitation restrictions are easing, so it is time to restore this vital resource at St. Mary’s Hospital.  We will continue to monitor updates provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local and state departments of health, and make adjustments as needed. Masks may hide our smiles, but they will not hide our excitement as we welcome caregivers and patients.

Some of the steps we are taking to protect our guests and staff:

  • Reduction of Guest House occupancy by 25%
  • Health screenings upon arrival and daily wellness checks
  • Daily temperature checks
  • Rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Mandatory face coverings

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged and humbled our global community. The Guest House has dedicated resources in an effort to operate and serve our guests while responding to COVID-19.  Our ability to engage our volunteer groups in our day to day operations has been greatly impacted by COVID-19. We are feeling the absence of community in the Guest House and encouraging virtual activities that will help us support our guests. Please visit our wish list and donation page.
